McClelland Gallery + Sculpture Park - www.mcclellandgallery.com

Set in 8 hectares of landscaped bushland the Sculpture Park is a complex of lakes and billabongs, landscaped gardens and natural bushland settings displaying over 50 sculptures on permanent display.  The award winning gallery houses an impressive display of changing exhibitions from Australian sculptures, paintings and works on paper.  Within the gallery is a gift shop, library and licensed café.

George Pentland Gardens

Much more than just a public park, the botanical garden is designed primarily for passive recreation. Once the location for the first 4 holes of Frankston’s original 9 hole golf course (1938).  The club closed in 1974 because the developing area had come too close to the flying golf balls.  With a large central lake, various tracks and seating areas, a fern gully containing a glade decorated with wood carvings featuring native birds and animals, this area also pays homage to the heritage of the indigenous Bunwurrung people.
